Drive 2 and a half hours south, get 3 hours of sleep in a hotel room due to a cold, wake up at 6 drive North an hour and a half, get to where you’re supposed to be for the next few hours and get told “oh... no one is here for you. Thanks for coming though.”

Did you get paid for all those hours, at least?

Been there. I once had an employer too cheap to pay for a hotel room, so I had to take a 6:00 am flight, work all day without even a lunch break, then take the 11:45 pm flight back home. I thought that I was being sent to assist in my area of expertise, but no, I spent the day doing piddly administrative bullshit like sorting and filing. WTF? Oh, and no OT, so I just got my standard eight hours.
I’m glad those miserable bastards are out of business.

Do you have a minute to trade an email about a video question?

Plus miles. I wouldn’t even be mad except I feel like crap and I had to get up early to basically just turn around and drive back

I’ve got it figured, I think. I can do what I need to do in Shotcut.
Thanks.

It’s good. My daughter got married in Rexburg two weeks ago and the hometown reception is next weekend. I need to concatenate the wedding video, the slide show the groom’s mom made, and a slide show I’ll make into one video, then let the whole thing loop during the reception. Shotcut is perfect for that. Not too many frills to wade through.
